Pixel Art v2.3 & .NET Framework 4.0

Well, the past week did not go exactly as we had planned, as we released three new updates to Pixel Art. Pixel Art v2.2 fixes just about all of those glitches and bugs that occurred in v2.0, but v2.3 is the one that v2.0 should have been, if we had waited another week. But, what’s done is done, and we must move on, and v2.3 is here to help. We are currently aiming to release it on January 7. Below, we have provided a list of changes/new features:

  • •New Themes (900 Squares Only):
    • Classic
    • Orange & Pink
    • Blue & Green
    • Red & Yellow
    • Windows Vista
    • Windows 7
  • Fixes ‘Update’ glitch in 900 square window
  • New ‘Custom Colour’ options
    • 5 custom colours (400 square window)
    • 5 custom colours (900 square window)
  • Fixes panel save error
    • Only effects the ‘900 Squares’ window
  • New coding optimized for performance

Also, please remember that you must have .NET Framework 4.0 installed. This is to ensure that Pixel Art v2.0 (and higher) will run smoothly with the addition of the 900 square window. If you do not have .NET Framework 4.0 installed, or are not sure if you do or not, use the links we have provided below.

Pixel Art v2.2 – Out Now

Well, after quite a hassle of trying to get Pixel Art v2.0 out, we were made aware of a number of glitches in both the 900 and 400 square windows. We quickly fixes those glitches, but a day later were made aware of a couple more glitches in the 900 square window, along with a couple in the ‘Update’ window.

First off, we would like to apologize for the number of glitches that have been occurring since the launch of Pixel Art v2.0, as we never expected this many major errors.

Secondly, we have fixed the 900 square window saving glitch, along with the ‘Update’ window glitch, and are ready to release the fix. We went through a lot more testing than we have in the past two updates, and we are confident that there will not be the requirement for another update until approximately one month from now.

We apologize greatly for the errors on our part, and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Also, if you have not yet downloaded Pixel Art, you only have a few days left to get it, before it becomes unavailable to use. To use it, click the download link below, and enter happyholidays for the serial code.

Pixel Art v2.1 – Out Now

Due to an unexpected error that we found in Pixel Art v2.0, which was just released earlier today, we were made aware of an error in both the 900 and 400 square windows, that the panels are not alligned correctly, causing the pictures to look very disorientented. As soon as we were made aware of this, we worked on a fix, and since this is a major glitch, we feel that it is necessary to get this out right away. This updated version is available for download below or via the automatic update within the program itself.

Pixel Art v2.0 – Out Now

Well, the time has come and a couple of delays later, Pixel Art v2.0 is now available for download! Now, we really have been working on this version for a lot longer than we originally anticipated, but it was all worth it! Why? Well not only did we promise to make it available to anyone who types in happyholidays for a serial code, but for another reason that we have yet to reveal. Pixel Art v2.0, now features not 400 squares, but 900 squares! Now, in order to make it run smoothly, we had to up convert the framework from .NET Framework 3.5 to 4.0, which means that if you do not have .NET Framework 4.0 installed, then you will have to do so until you can run the program. Below is a list of all new features and changes:

  • New User-Interface
  • New Themes (400 Squares Only):
    • Gray Waves
    • Retro
    • Minecraft
  • Faster start-up
  • New Coding
    • Upconverted from VBS to VB.NET
    • Runs using .NET Framework 4.0
  • New Options
    • 900 Squares
    • 400 Squares

To download the new installer, you can use the download link below, or launch v1.1 or v1.2 and use the auto-updater to download the new version. Please note that if you previously had access to Pixel Art, you will need to re-enter your serial code. If you need it again, please feel free to request it.

Pixel Art Goes Free For 1 Week Only!

To help celebrate the holidays, Pixel Art v2.0 is coming out this Saturday, or more commonly known as Christmas Eve! But, since we at Muze Software Inc. have been keeping Pixel Art a private project, we are finally opening up the doors to the public for 1 week only, running from December 24 – December 31. After that, the doors will close and Pixel Art will not be available for just anyone.

So, how do you get it? Simple. We will post the download link here for the installer for Pixel Art v2.0, and then you simply install it! But, if you recall, we added a serial code requirement for it. No worries, just simply enter the following code between December 24 – December 31 to activate it for life! The serial code is:

So, there you go! Just simply download Pixel Art v2.0 this upcoming Saturday and use that serial code* and enjoy the program! Also, there will be a final surprise when the program launches this Saturday, so subscribe to our news feed to find out first!

*Please note that if you already have a serial code, then you will have to re-enter it as the user settings have been reset during the upgrading process from .NET Framework 3.5 to .NET Framework 4.0.

Pixel Art v2.0 – Release Date Delayed

We are sorry to inform you guys that we have to push back the release date of Pixel Art until December 24. We are encountering a glitch that is seriously effecting the progress of the program, but we will hopefully have it fixed by next Saturday! We will still announce a big surprise tomorrow, so be sure to come back here tomorrow!

Pixel Art v2.0 – Quick Update

It’s been a while since we posted, and we have been hard at work at Pixel Art v2.0! Unfortunately, we have run into a problem with this version, and we are looking into a way of fixing it as soon as possible, but we have a safety net. If we do not get it fixed before December 17, we will bring out the update so that you still get to use the new UI and themes, but the main new feature will be blocked off until it is fixed. You will see our reasoning for all of this on December 17, so be sure to check back soon!
